Mitch and Tania's Byron Bay Wedding
“Together Journal marries the work of the most talented in the trade and the brightest creatives – photographers, writers, designers, stylists and artists – to present a global quarterly print publication like no other”.
Tania and Mitch’s beautiful love story was lucky enough to be featured on Together journals online blog this week. To say that I’m excited is an understatement! Check out their full story here.
If any of you have been to Byron Bay around April, you already know that the weather and general vibe this time of year is near perfect! There was no question as to why these two chose the Fig Tree Restaurant, up in the beautiful hinterlands of Byron to promise themselves to each other. The day was truely magical; the sun came out, on cue, and cut through the beautiful old fig tree, only moments after Mitch and Tania had said their vows. The stars then lit up the sky as everyone dined, drank and danced their way into the evening.
Bower Botanicals knocked the florals out of the park with a stunning selection of seasonal natives. Special thanks to Skai Ceremonies who did a heartfelt and relaxed job marrying the lovely couple. Huge congratulations to Ruusk for producing some of the most delicate, yet stunning wedding bands i've ever seen. Tania flawlessly wore Rue De Seine from the Bridal Atelier with the bridesmaids wearing Hazel & Folk. Mitch wearing Suit Shop by P Johnson. Amazing authentic mariachi set by Duo Serenata and dance floor tunes by Scradley Beats, hair and make-up by The Future Mrs. Great all round effort by Byron Bay Weddings for coordinating all these lovely vendors.
Every now and then you shoot a wedding that really resonates with you. Sheri and Greg’s, at Woodville School of Arts, Hunter Valley, was honest and heartfelt. I cried during the speeches and felt like one of their close friends. I can’t stress how grateful I am to do what I do, it really is one of the best jobs in the world!
To top things off, later that evening, they announced they were having their first baby! What an incredibly beautiful way to share this special news with your close friends and family.
Bunx and Ash got married in Sydney in STYLE! Ash, in his made to measure Remy Ghougassian suit, started things off at The Paramount House Hotel. Meanwhile, with her bridesmaids and family, Bunx got into her stunning Lover gown and made her way to their ceremony in North Sydney. The rest of the day went off without a hitch, with some photos at Paddington Reservoir then off to the Three Blue Ducks to celebrate! Other vendors included: Voli K Music; Flowers for all Occasions; Impulse Films.
Earlier this year, along with a bunch of other talented individuals, I attended the Expsd workshop down in Mount Hotham, Victoria. It was a truely amazing opportunity as we got to hang out with and learn from some of the most incredible photographers from the industry. We ate delicious food, drank beers, and got to frolic out in the amazing spaces of Mount Hotham. Find some highlights from the trip below!
Set in beautiful wine region of Gibbston, just outside of Queenstown, Anastasia and Adam did it in style! Their beautiful wedding had it all; the mountainous New Zealand backdrop, the dreamy gardens of the Winehouse, but most importantly Ana and Adams close family and Friends. The Winehouse then lit the fire, and served up some of their speciality wine and beer. A huge shoutout to the amazing team involved!
With a sharp NZ chill in the air, we took to Glenorchy (Anastasia and Adam’s most devout travel destination), skimmed some stones and took in the landscape.
A stormy evening spent down in Glenrock National Park with Sheri & Greg celebrating their engagement. Congrats guys :)
Chateau’s, Champagne and the Pyranees. Just a few words to sum up these two French-Canadians’ perfect European wedding. With their nearest and dearest, Myriam and Chris put on a wedding to remember; beating the rain and not sweating the small stuff. Happy to now call these two mates. Set at the stunning Chateau Saint Jean Des Plats, Castelnaudary, France.

When Ash and Bianca told me they were happy to make a day of their engagement shoot I knew exactly where to take them. We drove up into the Watagan mountains, walked among the truely awesome Pines campground home to an almost century old pine plantation and visited Boarding house dam filled with huge moss-covered rock walls and cool forest shade.
Can't wait until your wedding at the three blue ducks!
